AGREED! A friend and I were riding one hot afternoon, and stopped in there for a cold drink out on the porch. It was mid-afternoon, and the dinner crowd hadn't arrived. The owner wasn't even going to charge us for our drinks! We left $$ anyway.

We stop there any time we've been on Crest Hill Road, and always enjoy it.

Love it! Go there often while riding in the area (also beautiful roads)!

The Griffin Tavern is along our 'regular' twisty backroads route down to Staunton. Their Ploughman's Lunch Platter is usually what we order. The Flint Hill Public House & Country Inn next door is a charming place to stay, too - with a great restaurant of their own.
