Cheese Shop?

Postby pbharvey » Sun Jul 19, 2009 7:15 pm

Can anyone recommend a local (Maryland) cheese shop? Specifically I'm looking for Red Dragon cheese.

No idea if they have the cheese you're looking for or if you're interested in something in Baltimore, but Chesapeake Wine Company on Boston Street (Can Company) had nice selection of cheeses last time I was there. Probably more than 6 months ago now...

Good luck!

BTW, you try a google search? You'd be amazed what pops up! :D

I'm pretty sure the last time we bought it, we got it at Roots in Clarksville. Kaye also suggests trying Wegmans.

Try Wegmans at Hunt Valley, they carry close to 800 types of cheese. (Or maybe they can order it for you to help ease the pain) :D

Thanks everyone. Roots in Clarksville has it; 10 minutes from my house. I never would've thought to look there.

I'm thinking about taking my summer vacation at Wegmans though....800 cheeses could keep me busy for a while.

This is the place that turned me on to Red Dragon cheese: http://www.aidabistro.com/

So, almost a year later I find another place that carries Red Dragon. Balducci's Market in the Wildwood shopping center at Old Georgetown & Democracy in Bethesda has it. They have a great selection of cheeses as well as some nice sandwiches.
