In Woodsboro...

I ate there today for lunch.

Their apple dumpling a la mode was fantastic...

There are a couple other Mom'n'Pop homestyle cookin' restaurants in Frederick County. If you like Trout's Towne, you should also check out Barbara Fritchie's Candy Cane restaurant in Frederick city -- on Rte 40 heading west of town (near Dutrow's Honda shop in case your want to check out a Goldwing). Their Big Combo sandwich (fried egg and country ham) washed down with an old fashioned cherry soda (ice cream float to some of you) is a good place to start. They also specialize in pies, as in maybe 10 to choose from. Don't go if you're counting calories...and avoid the coffee unless your a Folger's drinker. Scott
