Iron Butt? Feels more like Jello.

Just got back from a whirlwind 6700 miles in 9 days. Left B-more on May 10 for Myrtle Beach. May 11 departed for San Diego, CA arriving 43 hours, 27 minutes later. 50CC done. Next spent I spent a leisurely two days riding to San Antonio, TX (1300 miles) where I met back up with the guys I rode to Myrtle with. Two days later we found ourselves at the Tail of the Dragon (Deals Gap) Tamed it in the rain, got the T-shirt and Pin. Departed for home this morning from Johnson City, TN 7 hrs and 500 miles later I can finally scrape the 1/2" thick layer of bugs off the bike and have a double Beam on the rocks.....and then another.
The LT was flawless! On Tuesday I pointed her west, set the cruise at 80+, and it ran for 36 out of 43 hours without a hic-cup. As a matter of fact, during the entire trip I flogged the bike pretty hard and all it did was ask for more, which it got while scraping parts on the dragon. Can't wait for the 100cc.

Ouch. Baltimore to San Diego in 43hrs? I'm crazy but that's nuts.

I hope you didn't speed Sonar! Shouldn't your name be Radar? ;)

Congrats sonar. 50cc is a pretty big accomplishment. 600 is my longest day so far. I want to do an SS1000 this summer.

Back at work today and going through withdrawals. The bike is outside and I can hear it calling me like a drug to and addict. :D. Got another run planned for July, Montana; what a great, understanding wife I have.

Congrats on your 50CC :!:
...and welcome to the forum.

PS: Holley: I guess when you are riding in the rain a sonar is better than a radar! (Sorry, bad joke!)

nice Avatar Sonar. Which one of those ladies is your "great, understanding wife"? One of them IS your wife right?

No way I could leave that one alone, sorry.

These slightly intoxicated young...tooo young ladies were walking past as I was getting photographed with the bike parked between four Police cars. They must have thought it was a crime scene and I was the suspect. The Officers coaxed the girls into the picture and I was too tired to even notice...just wanted to sleep. Well maybe I did notice a little
