I went for a ride yesterday to the eastern shore for a rocket launch. My brother belongs to a rocket club. They normally just build their own rockets and launch them. This particular rocket was built by the hole club. The rocket was 27 feet tall and had a 2 foot diameter. It weighed 1360 pounds. They expected the rocket to go around 4000 feet up into the air.
I had to stop and get a picture of the bay bridge.
You see the rocket in the back ground. They had to use a crane to put it together.
The rocket was powered by BMW – Bozo Motor Works.
Placing the nose cone.
It’s finally all together.
The parahute was 100 foot in diameter.
The line holding the bottom half of the rocket broke and landed in the field with a loud thud.
rough landing
The rocket was powered by BMW, that is Bozo Motor Works.
