Fall Color Pictures, Anyone?

Postby Rick F. » Sat Nov 05, 2005 7:27 pm

Here are a couple of Fall Color pictures, one from last weekend, three from earlier today. Hey, it's pretty out there!

Today's ride, BTW, was from Catonsville to Emmitsburg by back roads. I had a reasonably decent lunch at "Palms" in downtown Emmitsburg, and by chance I ran into a high school friend whom I hadn't seen in roughly 38 years! (She runs the Pearl Art Gallery.)

In the process, I saw several other BMWs, including a pair of electric blue R1150R's (I think), going in opposite directions in Libertytown.

Nice. Our colors are a bit late this year. When was the last time you wore shorts & a t-shirt outside at 8am on Nov. 5?

Kres,

I've been extremely happy with my CS since I bought it in May 2004. It's perfect for running around back roads looking for things to take pictures of. It's especially handy for U-turns, when you've just ridden past the photo-op.

My only gripe is legroom. At 6'6", even with the tall seat my knees are more bent than I prefer. I keep thinking about an R1200GS, but it's easier (and cheaper!) just to stop and stretch every now and then.

Shot #2 w/ the yellow tree, bike and country road is GREAT. That belongs on a home page somewhere!

Rob,

Thanks, I liked that shot a lot, too.

Before it goes on a home page, however, I'd better Photoshop out the truck in the background!
