My Sedalia Trip: first long touring impression

Postby grownup » Sat Jul 28, 2012 9:16 am

Hi, I am a motorcycle commuter. It is fun. But, touring is about 10x more fun. For example, once you get off the interstate you can travel about the same distance just as fast on secondary roads.
Off of the interstate, I found touring is exponentially more fun.

Here are some off the interstate rides I had between Maryland and Sedalia, MO.

Modoc IL to MO Ferry. You will have to fast forward to 1:50 for action.

Chasing Norm a retired RT rider from Oregon who I met in MO.

WV Video to be added.

Nice ride video Ted. How fast was Norm going? He looked like he was flying down the road.

One of my favorite things about Chester, IL is the Popeye statue!! I think southern IL is very pretty.

I like the WV ride - beautiful winding, country roads - looks like you had a great time!
