Lost City WV via Wolf Gap? 7/31/10

Has anyone else done this? Perhaps it's very common, but yesterday I was looking for a fun scenic route into WV. I was a bit out of my league, and concerned because I was solo. Wolf Gap to Judge Rye rd ,through the GW forest onto 259 is unpaved it turns out and a fun way through the woods. I was worried because I was above my head and only saw 1 other vehicle (a Camry!) in 1 hr, but I would also try it again and recommend it to those seeking the gravel rides.

Afterwards, took 259 to 50 and onward home. Crossed some tall spans over the Lost River, and actually didn't take any photos. Conspicuously missing from my scrabble board.

I've ridden some good backroads between Wardensville and Moorefield, through Lost River state park and had a great time. At best, I crossed the state roads, but never went on more than a paved county road. Great scenery; Let me know if you want a more detailed route through that area.
