I went to a BMW Sport Touring group event and had a GREAT Time!!! Here's my ride report, those guys are NUTS and a ton of fun to ride with!!
It was the 2nd annual Rubber Chicken Rendezvous! The prize is the last picture!
First of all, you can’t have a Rubber Chicken rendezvous without a rubber chicken – so meet Stella! She’s a little smashed from all the drinking last night, but she’s cute – purple bikini, purple toe nails, and just all around cute!
One of our fearless DORKS, I mean leaders – sorry Craig.
Some of us went on a quick scouting trip to see where a couple of things are – these crazy people made appointments to be checked in on the return trip!
Someone said my jacket is too bright, but hey! Whatever helps me from getting rear ended again! Not sure if the guy in the back is trying to rob Jim or what?
The first day, Craig & Terry, Jim and I rode up to Snowshoe to look around…
No snow, but plenty of riders – this was cool!
I know I lead a sheltered life, but this was really neat to me!
Sooo much beauty at Snowshoe!
The next day, a few of us went to say good-bye to one of our own before he checked in to the asylum!
One CRAZY group!!
Here’s the group shot of everyone that rode up there for the asylum tour…
The tour guide said that Craig and Jim looked familiar, now I see WHY!
Randy’s hot tub!
So much stuff was run down and sad looking….Here’s a picture of one of the catwalks…
This was the kitchen….
The building was 500,000 square feet!!! OMG, it was HUGE – couldn’t get the whole building in one shot….
other half….
On the ride home, I followed Paul and Bob – BEAUTIFUL RIDE!
NOW – for the best for last picture!!! Right before Randy was committed, they had to issue a certificate - so here it is! We’ll miss you Randy, take care, we’ll visit soon!
It was a GREAT event!!! Thanks so much to Craig, Jim and Keith for all of their hard work to scout the roads, put the riding brochures together and to make sure everything goes so smoothly! I really had a great time and can’t wait for next year’s event!!!!
ps - some of the pics with the May dates on them were from the scouting trip for this event.
