I zipped over to see two shows this weekend at Peir 6, Billy Idol on Friday, and Pepper/Slightly Stoopid on Sunday. Couldnt have asked for better weather.

Technically not really a ride story because we didnt go very far. I was just wondering if anyone else went to the shows...

Idol was good, but I didnt expect such low energy from both band and crowd..

Pepper, crass and Sublime rip-offs as they may be, turned out at least with a good energetic show that we could dance around too. I left after a few slightly Stoopid songs, I really didnt dig thier sound.

At the June 11th Billtown Blues Festival held in Hughesville, PA I checked out the lone BMW parked near the entrance. A brown colored R100S with Maryland plates that had alot of blues stickers pasted to it's hard side cases. A nice pair of well worn cowboy boots sat beside the bike. With around 100,000 miles on the odometer I figured the rider was a serious blues lover.

Ted put on one hell of a show last night. The guy is 60 but looks 35 and went non-stop for 2 hours. His voice is incredibly strong and his Guitar skills and stage antics are more than I expected.

The Show is not for the faint of heart or the politically correct.

At least until he starts playing Strangle hold, Cat Scratch Fever or Great White buffalo.

I hope he avoided playing anything from the highly regrettable Damn Yankees period. I’ve never been able to figure that one out.

I used to love Ted. Remember when he was with The Amboy Dukes? Good stuff. Wango Tango ended it for me. I thought he went the sell out route with that one and I was done. Nice to hear he put on a good show though.

None of it. All Ted with Derek St. Holmes joining in for the last hour of the show.
