Where was everybody? The few of us that showed up had a great time!

A couple on a K1200LT were leaving as I pulled up and I did not get there name. The other 4 that joined me for breakfast, stimulating conversation on K-9 bomb sniffing dogs, boating, and of course motorcycles and stories of our ride escapades were: Tony Glaccone, Ed Miller David Fitch, and Julian (Jody) Groves.

Tony needed to get home but the rest of us had a wonderful 3+ hour ride.

We took Beverly Mill Rd back up to Rt 55 west to Crest Hill Rd (to show them BMWBMW's adopted 2 mile stretch) and a spirited ride to Flint Hill.

Then took Fodderstack Rd to show them the Little Inn of Washington. Then north on one of my favorite roads, Harris Hollow Rd (includes a quarter mile of gravel) that connects with Gid Brown Hollow Rd that took us back out to Rt. 211.

West on 211 through Sperryville (yes the police were out).
Then over our local version of the "Dragon" and down to Luray.

North on Bixlers Ferry Rd to north on Camp Roosevelt (Rt 675) to north on Fort Valley Rd (Rt 678) to east on Rt 55.

We stopped for gas in Front Royal and all headed our separate ways home.

Great day! New friends, all spirited but safe riders, and no rain! :D

Hey Bob, you took "The Route", and what a fine one it is! Sorry I missed it, but I was a bit tired from my trip!

Bob,

Sounds like you had a great time. "The Route," as Jim put it, sounds vaguely familiar (see Stonewall's Valley). I really enjoyed the roads we took in common, especially 678 through Fort Valley.

Your ride report was great. Someday I need to purchase a digital camera! :D

Yeah, I just recently purchased a digital camera and I'm not going back disposable cameras.

Sorry I missed it. We had last minute company Saturday night/Sunday morning and so we got to entertain (yippee!). I should be good to go for the next one. I may get my wife to join us if her road confidence is up by then.
Be sincere, whether you mean it or not.

Glad you had a great ride. During the summer rather than heading to the mountains we head to the beach.
