Looks like a caterpillar!

Wonder why they took the Pa pike instead of going out 68. Guess they like tolls.

I'm with you George. The PA turnpike is shorter for me to go to Ann Arbor so I do take it if I'm going to see my little angels, but to go out 70 I'd be on 68 to 79 to 70 for sure!

Judgement call at the time. 68 has lower speed limits, but is a bit more direct.

It worked out anyhow, and was $5.50.

Are you okay? He probably won't be returning calls unless it's important. I can send him a text msg if you need something. I'm not sure that he's checking emails or reading anything - just quick posts here and there.

No problems, I'm just wondering when they're going to be in the Badlands/Mt. Rushmore area. Wanted to meet up and say hi is all. If he doesn't get the PM and you still have my number Tina, could you give it to him? Thanks.

Not a bad second day considering we got slammed with seriously hard rain for the first few hours out of Indianapolis. Otherwise the weather was not bad, and we made great time.

Here is a shot of the clouds just before they opened up for the second time!

Along the way a speedo/GPS shot.

How I felt after dinner tonight.

Cool shot of Kermit behind us.

For Tina, Peoria, IL

Cool IL rest stop.

Image
A gas break in Iowa, cool dirt track cars. Reminded me of when I was a kid.

Image
Image
Awesome windmills! Speaking of wind, we had such a headwind that our gas milesage went from 43 to 33 for this leg of the trip.

Image
The end of day two in Worthington, MN. 708 miles felt much better than the previous 625! Maybe we are getting numb.

More tomorrow from Sturgis, SD.
