Baltimore Breakfast Ride Mar 08

Postby eap » Sun Mar 02, 2008 6:30 pm

It was a bright winter day – full of light as Maria had predicted – but it started out around 20F before breakfast,

After breakfast, the temps climbed up to the low 40s, while the guyz continued to dilly-dally and tell more lies….

…until eventually a leader emerged and we set off NW from the Bob Evans just North of Baltimore.

Here’s Joe (COG).
Image
And MO-ses, on his farkle-ated GS….
Image

..and we enjoyed some northern MD country
Image

Took a break for some more dilly-dally and lies and the temps moved into the high 40’s.

And then we were off again to check out some Pennsylvania woods…
Image
...and rolling hills…
Image
… and farmlands
Image

Not long after 1pm, the group began splitting up (I guess it was Honey-do time), Joe, and Moses and I went to the cigar store before we each went our separate ways back home
Image

All and all, a fine day of riding with some fine folks…. 200+ miles

Looks like a great ride. Who was riding the Ducati?

Awesome pictures Ed! How on earth do you take pictures of the group riding behind you??
Thanks to all of you for waiting while Moses dismounted and helped me push start my Rockster, and then right after that I had to help him push start his GS! Good team work, with some of the guys riding back to see what had happened. Moses rode behind me for most of the time, and was feeling like Sancho after staring at my license plate for an hour!
All in all, a fantastic ride.
The guy on the Ducati was Mike (don't know his last name), long time Balto Brkfst ride participant.
Roy
PS: BTW, where was Tina? You could have ridden up from DC with Moses.

Those are some really fantastic pictures Ed. I wish I came out to have some fun with you guys. Say Ed, you have to show me your picture taking while riding set up. I might want to try do something like that when I go out to WY. :)

Thanks Roy. I was interested in asking him how he likes his bike. I stopped at Battley's to check out a couple leftover ST3's on Saturday as candidates for replacing my R12ST. Hopefully he checks this forum for time to time.

Ed: Great pics and a nice ride. You are still crazy for taking pictures over your shoulder while rounding a curve.
