Planning a street touring ride from Northern Virginia up through PA, NY, VT, NH, MA then beeline back to VA.

When: July 1 - 5 (Early morning departure on the 1st)
4 Overnight Stays (PA, NY, VT or NH, and Boston, MA - watch fireworks at the river)
July 5 ride back to VA via highway/toll roads.

All scenic route from VA to Boston. If time/weather permitting a ride to top of Mount Washington. Motel stays (no camping) and will be letting BMW Navigator VI help with some of the curvy routes. A party on July 4 at the Old West Church in Boston, BBQ dinner followed by a walk to the fireworks. I have 5 tickets to the free BBQ dinner (cash bar) - $120K Tesla vehicle raffle winner will be drawn at the event (https://climatexchangeraffle.org/).

PM if interested.

Have booked the stays for the ride as follows:

July 1 - Candlewood Suites, Sayre, PA; 320 miles
July 2 - Days Inn, Rutland/Killington, VT; 300 miles
July 3 - Hilton Garden Inn, Bangor, ME; 330 miles
July 4 - DoubleTree by Hilton, Boston, MA; 270 miles
July 5 - Alexandria, VA; 525 miles

Total distance is 320 + 300 + 330 + 270 + 525 = 1,745 miles (5 days of riding)

Could change Day 3 & 4 and go from Rutland, VT --> Mount Washington, NH --> Boston, MA. Have to do the July 4th in Boston though. That would knock Day 3-4 total to 325 miles total instead of 600 miles on that leg.

Looks like Day 1 of the ride tomorrow will be mostly rain and thunderstorms. Will feel like my weekend rides in Japan all over again.

What an epic adventure. Seeing 10 states in 5 days and 4 nights. Just over 1700 miles traveled. Only rain once on me that lasted for 2 1/2 hours then clear the rest of the time. Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine was absolutely beautiful riding. Was able to leave Boston early Wednesday morning and took the fastest route back to Alexandria, VA; 8 hours and 2 minutes with 4 stops including a breakfast one.

It's great when things work out that well in terms of weather, traffic, etc. Scott
