Why don't we do it in dirt? this weekend Aug.29 or 30

Postby RocketMan » Mon Aug 24, 2015 4:56 pm

Anyone up for a bit of off road dirt/gravel this weekend? I have found a few interesting roads around Rock Mills, just south of 211, some roads I'd like to explore a bit more up on the Woodstock tower ridge plus a nice one called St Davis Church Road near the bottom of fort valley and some more a bit south of Purcellville or would be interested in any you know of. Keep in mind that A: I'm still new to dirt/gravel and B: while my V isn't a real heavyweight it ain't that light either so would want to ride with others on similar weight machines rather than 300LB dirt bikes that would leave me WAY behind!
Leave around 8~9 at the latest for an all-day ride with a stop to eat something light, such as the burger/hotdog stand in Sperryville which is decent and quick.

So let me know.

OK, so I'm going to do this on Sat. Meet at the Haymarket Sheetz around 8, leaving out by 8:30 and heading west. Not sure of the exact route but will be looking for some off-pavement and a lunch stop for a lite meal if anyone wants to ride along.
