Anyone riding this weekend? Jan 31st

Hey guys, I'm planning on taking a ride to Loudoun County on Saturday to check out some gravel trails. I will be linking up with a guy I met on Advrider at the 7-11 on Hummer Road in Annandale at 9:30am. It will be a short ride due to obligations in the afternoon. If anyone is interested...let me know. See the pic of the trail route.

Those extreme-sports kids today are good, but they have it easy. Try falling off of a motorcycle going 70 or 80 miles per hour on asphalt. Believe me, nothing equals it.

Shannon,

Kickstand will be up at 9:35am from Annandale...it takes about 45 mins to arrive there via 66. So I'm guessing around 10:30..give or take 15 mins. PM with my phone number will be sent.

Sounds like a nice ride, but at tomorrow's temps I plan to stay on asphalt - there's s thing happening over at Bob's.

The guy I'm suppose to meet up backed out...I'm still going out there and will meet up with Gary and Shannon. If the trail is dangerous, I'll problem look for the another route. Looking forward to it.

We had a good ride albeit a bit short (about two hours). The roads were great and the gravel was fine for beginners. We avoided Bull Run Mountain as it was solid ice (ran into a bicyclist who had just wiped out and ended up walking the entire road in the woods along side the road). We did run into an ice road (Snake Hill road) in our detour that I would not recommend!

Me into the Comm Unit "are we riding on solid ice...." Gregory "just don't look down...." Ughhh
