New Year's Day Ride to Sperryville, VA

Postby GSFun » Tue Dec 30, 2014 10:27 pm

Heading to Sperryville for a crisp New Year's Day ride and Brunch at 1100 (Thornton River Grille)!

Hope to see you there!

Interested in riding together? Let me know. Leaving the Manassas area between 0830-0900. Ride will be mostly magnificent back country roads with a touch of gravel (less than a mile of gravel on the way out, maybe a bit more on the way back ;-).

What a great bunch of BMWBMW rowdy riders!

As Wes would say "Nine hearty souls braved sub-freezing temps to have a nice New Years' Day breakfast in Sperryville. Good food, good friends & good fellowship. We even had a wizard, a dwarf, an elf & a few hobbits. The right ring and we could have gotten into some mischief." And yes Wes, you and Rick do make a cute couple!

Happy New Year 2015!!!

I thought about coming but wound up going in the opposite direction. It certainly was a nice day for a ride. No doubt you all sat on that nice deck in the pics, right? :-)

It was really nice to see folks at the Grille. Given the temperature, I was happy to be on the demo RT and went for a 100+ mile ride after brunch. What a beautiful day! Back on the GS now, all fixed and running great, but a little colder than on the heated seat and behind the full fairing of the RT.
