Battley Cycle Covered Bridge Ride and Autumn Fest Sat 10/30

Postby drewalex » Sun Oct 24, 2004 3:55 pm

Looking for something to do on Saturday 10/30....Put down the rake and come to Battley Cycles. Join Bernie Keller at 8:00am for the 4th annual Covered Bridge Ride. Too early for you? Stop by from 11:00am to 3:00pm while we grill up some bratwurst and kielbasa. Can't ride? Dress up and bring the kids down for trick or treat surprises throughout the day and costume contests at 1:00pm for the little kids and the "big ones" too!

Yeah, it does sound like fun. Unfortunately I'll be in NC eating barbeque.

Hmmm. I haven't come up with another milestone.

Honestly it should be at 1500. Something like King of the Universe would be cool!

I am going to try to make it to Battley's for lunch time. There's lots of good folks up there to visit.

I wonder if they'll have the Girls in Bikini's washing motorcycles again?

Dude... there is no answer to that question that makes it ok. The words "Bernie" and "Thong" should never be used in the same sentence. :-)

(isn't Bernie the guy who typically leads the GS ride at Square Route?)

Bernie is the GS ride guy, but said there's no way he's wearing a thong. Apparently he is still traumatized from wearing it at the BMWRA rally and no wants to see Drew in his.

I agree the folks at Battleys are extremely freindly.

I've heard some BMW riders say they pass on Battley's because it is a Harley place. It's really not, they have a half dozen or so brands over there. And the guys that work there are little less pretentious, than some of the dealers I've visited over the years.

Check em out!

I'll be there around Noon, unless I go to Antons. (see the other ride topic in the "Events" section of this website)

Battley's was a great time. Drew served up Bratwurst, Kraut and Sodas on the house. You gotta love that place.

At any given point there was about 20 BMW riders present, plus lots of other folks from the various brands that Battely's sells. Sweet!
