Great, I'll prolly be there early in the week and will try to get the little island across the wood bridge in the back ... Chase knows where it is. Another option is the higher ground just to the right as you come into the camping area. Just about everything is creek side.

The following is an e-mail sent to you by a friendly administrator of "Twin Valley Riders" forum.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This notification is going out to TVR Members only.
It has been only a few hours since I sent the emails notifying previous attendees that registration is open. I am shocked at how fast the rally places are selling. As of 2pm today we've sold more than 60% of the 175 places. If you want to attend you need to register immediately.
Same here. :Thumbs ups :!:
Not to be nosie, but my Hoosier heritage compels me to ask when folks are planning to arrive. I am a membr of TVR and have family in the area so will be heading down early in the week. Since I should be there before any of you I will try to reserve a 'group' space across the little bridge at the back of the campground.
When you arrive just go straight back (you can register later) and follow the camp road (it is just a big single loop around an open space about the size of a football field that is surrounded by trees). Towards the back of the campground, just between the first and second turn - you will see a little bridge crossing a stream (to your right).
I will set up in the wooded area across the bridge and, if I don't forget, I will hang out a BMW2 sweatshirt. If my GS water head is not there, my tent is a brown Catoma and will be under or near a large green and yellow tarp.
Since I am a member of the TVR club too, I think I have been volunteered to lead or sweep a ride on Saturday. I was also wondering if any of you would like to take the forest service road up to Burkes Garden on Friday. Of course there will be self guided ride suggestions and maps also.
Supper Friday and Saturday night includes a limited supply of beer. Beer/wine is available less than 1/2 mile up the road in Meadows of Dan, as is breakfast on Saturday at the local VFW (around $10).
See you there - feel free to ping me on line to trade cell phone numbers...
If there's no restriction on arrival times I was planning to get there mid-dayish Friday. I thought I just might meander down route 29 towards Martinsville and catch 58 to the campground. Map software estimates 6ish hours of drive time. My thoughts are trying to stay off the super slab while still getting there in a reasonable amount of time. ????
Burkes Garden is a beautiful place. I spent a lot of my misspent youth in and around the Burkes Garden area. My farm and extended family is just a jump from there over in the Honaker area.
Woot! I was able to get Karla and I registered so we'll be there as well. Renata will be back at school so it will just be the two of us. We may leave on Thursday and stay at a B&B along the way.
Per Ed's earlier comment... I plan to head down Friday. I had hoped to make a getaway on Thursday, but that ain't happening. I am working on salvaging the weekend due to some work projects.
