Apparently, since you do it every year, you don't learn the same lesson. #-o

I'll cross post in the meeting thread...I stopped by Ed's shop last week, it sounds like he plans to be at the Winchester meeting if any Ride participants want to bring their submission for the contest. If Ed does NOT make it, I will deliver to him - his shop is 15 minutes away from me.

I'm not done yet - I think when I read the back the rules the contest does not end until 11/30. I have a big Sunday planned heading down to NC since I had to skip it two weekends ago when it was icy early in the morning. Trying to grab US route 70 and some BBQ - not a bad combo.

I've received a couple of notes about the Rides program, so I thought I'd post a reminder.....

The program runs from March 1st thru November 30th.

From Ed's instructions....

B. At the end of the Tours, submit your photographs or CD with a log. Make sure we can copy and print any of the pictures for awards. Send to:

Ed Phelps, 7447 Old Washington Road, Woodbine, MD 21797 epbp2ride@verizon.net

Hope everyone had fun with the program this year!

I sent mine in without a log BUT my photos are clearly labelled with what they are... I hope Ed will count that!

As always, Ed and Barb did a great job and had fun with the cotest and prizes. We did miss the fun of giving awards to winners...Ed jokes about a provision that you must be present to win or e just hands your plaque to someone else.

Now, we have to wait for the 2012 announcement... :?:

Yay to Ed and Barb. Thanks for yet another great ride event. It must be a real PITA to have to sift through a zillion pictures of nothing but signs.

At the beginning of the ride season, I noticed that Virginia had all but 4 of the route numbers. That pretty well narrowed things down for me since riding all over the country after all of the US routes would have been too expensive. I did collect all of the US routes ending in 0 or 5. A Spring trip to the Southwest got most of them including some in Indiana and Michigan on the way home. I tried to shoot for places where the routes intersected for efficiency. My old riding partner from Ohio joined me for a week exploring Virginia. We had a great time and he picked up a bunch of town names for the ride contest of his local club. He needs to get retired so we can go back to the Southwest and explore the parks in Utah.

I rode in all 50 states in 2010. All of Canada this year?
