Well, I don't know who else is in club Super 8 and what schedules are. I figured we'd at least be meeting for dinner in Hancock. Do you all think you'll be heading up late morning, midday? Maybe we could meet in Aldie or Middleburg? Could take Whites Ferry for a cruise, or cross further West, nearer Hancock?

Hope to make the meeting. I'm not much on riding up in a car for 4 hours, however, if I can get the battery charged and the bike running I'll ride up on my future son-in-laws Harley Sportster.

As some of you know, I left my bike in Seattle after a 3 week trip out west that included a BMWSporttoring.com UnRally in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the MOA Rally. I am flying back on August 25th to pick up the bike and attend my nephews wedding in Spokane and then take 7 - 10 days and ride through back roads through Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and up over Lake Michigan. :D

Believe the street name is Park Circle Road to access Widmeyer Park. If not, you can't be lost in Hancock for too long :D

August GMM, Sunday, August 8, 11 am
Hancock, MD N39 42.08 W78 11.287
at the Widmeyer Park's London Fog Pavilion
Take I-70 West to Exit 3 (left exit) onto MD 144 (Main St.)
Follow 144 through town, bearing left to cross the Potomac.
The park is immediately on your right after going under US 522.

THANK YOU ELSIE!!!!! =D> =D> =D> =D>

Thank you to eVERYONE that came out today!! Wow, what a crowd!!! I was so pleased to see so many members, it makes all the hard work that ELSIE did, seem worth it!

We had about 30 people for the meeting and about 25 or so for the ride and lunch afterwards! It was a FANTASTIC ride!!!

I said earlier this year I wanted our meeting days to turn in to more of a "riding" day and this is exactly what I wanted!!! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!

See you at the club picnic in a couple of weeks!

Ditto!

Now for the public service announcement:

Owner of the vintage GS that was between Elsie and me leaving Shepherdstown... check your taillight. It was lighting up when you were braking, but it looked like it was dead otherwise.

<snip>!

Thanks for everyone for being such good followers! Really, Tina,
if we can plan some club rides a little further west in Virginia,
like Sperryville (or Town & Country like you mentioned), and
then up into MD (Westminster maybe), I always like planning
a ride and know tons of roads pretty much everywhere!!!

It was nice to see so many people that I hadn't met before!

Good short meetings, leisurely riding and lunch!! Teamwork!
