More awesomeness: We (www.skenelights.com) would like to support your event by providing one of our top of the line rear visibility systems to use as a door prize.  The P3 with Decelerometer and Turn Signals retails for $184.99.

Okay, this is too much, at what point will you have to block off the whole street for the number of bikes that are going to show up for these totally awesome door prizes? Because this one door prize is over the top by itself. I have to ask what is the grand prize a new BMW Bagger. Seriously.

I live on a 4 lane street! But there is plenty of parking for the 60+ people who said they were attending.

One more door prize, this new product by an inmate and friend of mine. He is giving away gift certificates for 2 of these neat units. The first ones released! He will be there to demonstrate them as well.

Anyone want to meet up for breakfast ahead of the tech day?

I'll be coming in from Herndon - Dulles airport direction.

Thanks to all that came to this event and shared their years of experience turning wrenches with me. I enjoyed meeting folks from Ny, Mass, SC and the surrounding parts of WMA. Two people for sure rode over 400+ miles for this awesome event. Jim was running around so much at this event I am not sure he had a moment to catch his breath much less put his own bike back together until after 6pm.

I'll get back to individual responses, but I wanted to again thank all of the people who attended, the sponsors who gave such excellent door prizes, and my lovely wife for putting up with my madness.

This year I did something a bit different. I had all those who chose to, sign in with name, location of origin, and distance traveled. Of the estimated 59 attendees, I was to busy to get an exact count, 34 signed in. They came from next door to as far away as Beaufort, SC, Charlotte, NC, Rochester, NY, NCY and NJ. The average miles traveled, even with so many semi-locals, was 107 miles, and a total of 3640 miles. Very cool. The reason this mattered, is that I gave the high miles trip to her (on a bike) the first shot at choosing a door prize. This just happened to be the lucky guy who scored a GS911 WiFi and OBDII connector for HEX! :deal

Now for a few photos:

As you can see, it was a great turn-out, and lots of good work was done.

PSA Someone left a book by the front door, and another person left the Tech Day Tool kit.

Please feel free to copy any photos you like, and to copy and comment on them with details of what you see.

Lastly, I did find my phone, on the floor behind the drivers sea of my car. No idea how it got there. :dunno

PS This was so much fun because of all of you. I really look forward to making next year bigger and better! :deal

BTW Dave, tell your wife she is a rum genius! That is the best rum I ever had, and to call it sipping rum would be a gross injustice! [-o<
