Basically the issue only involves the upper fork tube separating from the triple tree mount on GSw and GSAw bikes. On some bikes the upper fork tube will come apart from the station, the part that connects the tube to the upper triple tree, which can have potentially disastrous results.
Look at this joint for a gap between the fork tube and the station:

Note that the gap is slightly visible. It should be no more than .01mm.

Recently a few bikes were recalled for a crimping fix, not sure if this is related.

Looks like they added a collar to the top of the tube over the station and the fork tube. This may be in addition to the updated fork tube, or not, and it may be a totally new fork tube. I'm not yet sure.
I'll update the thread as more info becomes available.
