JVB Tech Day April 22nd.

Postby JimVonBaden » Sun Feb 19, 2017 12:41 am

Announcing the 6th Annual JVB Tech Day. It is open to ALL BIKES!

This year it will be April 22, 2017 at my home in Alexandria, VA.

Address:
5246 Seminary Rd
Alexandria, VA 22311

As always food and drink (non-alcoholic) will be provided, hot coffee and bagels in the morning and lunch of burgers, dogs, chili and a few sides. All complimentary!

All you have to do is show up. Come with maintenance or farkle installation in mind, or just to hang out and watch. There are always several people available to lend a hand, tools, GS-911 regular and WiFi for the Wetheads and 2 Harmonizers to sync your throttle bodies/carbs, and plenty of space to work.

ALL bikes are welcome, and nearly any level of work to be accomplished. Last year we had 40 plus bikes, with plenty of room for more. I will have at least one lift, hopefully two, and space for lots of work to get done. Tire changes can also be done (you can have them delivered to me, just PM me).

Check through the thread for great door prizes from http://www.jvbproductions.com and hopefully others.

Last year we had $1200 in door prizes including a GS911 WiFi and a bunch of service supplies.

I will have a selection of DVDs as door prizes as well.

Bring your supplies, and we will put them to work!

PM me with your interest and I will give my address a week or so before the Tech Day.

I will post the attendees here:

If my grandson doesn't decide to show up that weekend I'll be there. Probably won't have any work to do, but I'd like to see if I can hang with the professional BSers.

You are always welcome, even if no tech day! Besides, you are a pretty sharp wrench, and everyone benefits from your help! =D>

Very happy that is is the weekend before the BMWST "START '17 event. For those that have not attended a BMWST event you need to! Take a look for the discussion of the START '17 at BMWST.com site under the Ride and Event Planning Forum. All are welcome to attend!

Jim - I am hoping you can help with my plan on swapping front tire and rim with a spare one and to put new tires on front and back rims that I will want to put on the bike after I return from the BMWST event the following week. I send you a seperate email.

For those that have not attended one of Jim's Tech days you have got to make this one!

Jim - Not sure if you have met Mark Mayhew as yet. He plans on stopping by to watch and learn at your Tech Day.

Mark and his wife are Canadian and his wife is currently on the Canadian Embassy staff here in DC. Mark is a great guy/rider and he and I have ridden together frequently. He currently rides a lowered 2016 GSA 1200.

Rear tire replace(forgot to ship it to you, but will bring it with me.)
brake flush (servo brakes..) Do you have proper tools to do this?

Thanks.
