5th Annual JVB Tech Day April 23rd, 2016!

Postby JimVonBaden » Tue Feb 02, 2016 2:39 pm

It is time to start planning the 5th Annual JVB Tech Day. It is open to ALL BIKES!

This year it will be April 23, 2016 at my home in Alexandria, VA.

5246 Seminary Rd
Alexandria, VA 22311

As always food and drink (non-alcoholic) will be provided, hot coffee and bagels in the morning and lunch of burgers, dogs, chili and a few sides. All complimentary!

All you have to do is show up. Come with maintenance or farkle installation in mind, or just to hang out and watch. There are always several people available to lend a hand, tools, GS-911 regular and WiFi for the Wetheads and Harmonizer to sync your throttle bodies/carbs, and plenty of space to work.

ALL bikes are welcome, and nearly any level of work to be accomplished. Last year we had 43 bikes, with plenty of room for more. I will have at least one lift, hopefully two, and space for lots of work to get done. Tire changes can also be done (you can have them delivered to me, just PM me).

Check through the thread for great door prizes from http://www.jvbproductions.com and hopefully others.

Last year we had $1600 in door prizes including a GS911 WiFi and a bunch of service supplies. See this thread for details of last years Tech Day and door prizes!

Bring your supplies, and we will put them to work!

PM me with your interest and I will give my address a week or so before the Tech Day.

Thanks again Jim for making this happen! I plan to be there, any chance I can powder coat some crash bars? Really have no idea what that entails but I saw you recently made this happen to some parts. Materials or supplies I should bring?
Cheers,
Eric

Hi Eric,

Unfortunately my powder coat oven is too small for crash bars, it is just a little toaster oven. I may consider doing a few items if they fit, about 13" X 10" X 8" is the biggest I can do. I have the materials for black and yellow powder coating. Maybe we could do it at a different time if you like. I will be doing some next week or the week after.

Thanks, and hope to see you there.

Great news, Beemer Boneyard has stepped up again. :clap :D

Mike has requested suggestions on what people want from them. So go here: http://www.beemerboneyard.com and take a look. No promises, but he has suggested possibly the Harmonizer Vacuum sync tool as he now carries them.

Let me know and I will forward the info to him. :flask:

I plan on attending. I probably don't need any work done and can help out with logistics or food.

Hey Jim. I thought I might be out of town so I've been holding off on posting until I got my spring schedule hashed out a bit. Well, for better or worse and baring any unexpected surprises I think I'm going to make your technical soiree again this year. Thank you and the misses for letting us once again invade your home and grounds. See ya then.
