Fuel hose replacement with generic?

Looking to replace the fuel supply hoses, but don't really want to order from the dealers.

Mine are over a 13 yrs old and cracking is visible at the ends. Getting leakage.
It's well less than a foot of hose for both lines.

Looking at this link:

The link specifies a generic 5/16 ID fuel injector hose available at local supply; wondering if the specs for bulk from NAPA or wherever would apply to my GSA.

Grateful for concurrence/exceptions.

Externally you will be fine. Just don't use non-internal hose for inside the tank.

Easy operation right? Excepting however long it takes to disassemble the fuel injection?

Good grief - I can't even get a tool in to access those hose clamps!

It is easier if you pull the tank.

I haven't looked at my Climer's yet. Doesn't seem like it should be a big deal on first glance, but I bet there's some vacuum stuff involved?

Where does injector deinstallation fall on a scale of 1-5 degrees of required tech-spertise? Just wrenching and screwdrivering, or more sophisticated stuff involved?

So having consulted Clymers it seems to me this operation shouldn't be too difficult.

The action is all pretty well south of the fuel tank, and fuel supply has quick disconnects.

Submitting the following procedure to anyone competent who's willing to comment.

1) Disconnect negative battery terminal

2) Dismount injector sensor (A)

3) Clamp the injector fuel line input hose (F); Dismount the injector bracket from throttle body (B)

4) Remove injector from throttle body; cover injector port in throttle body opening

5) Install new hose lengths (D,E) (I assume because of the presence of quick disconnectors I don't need to pinch off the fuel supply hoses north of the action? Or is it recommended to do so in any event?)

6) Reinstall injector, bracket, sensor, and fuel inlet hose.

7) Reconnect battery terminal

Sounds about right. Especially if you use the screw on clamps like those sold with the: Beemer Boneyard set, you probably won't need to remove the injectors to do the job. Good luck.

Thanks, I've looked at it every way, and the injector is smack in the middle of the union where hose E meets it's lower junction. Zero access for either a screw driver or crimp plier

Hose D could be done without too much sweat.

Why not just pull the injector out? Two screws and the clip.

If you pull injectors out, you usually need to replace the injector o-ring.
