Lift recommendations ?

Postby VANikonShooter » Tue Jul 07, 2015 1:31 am

Considering getting girlfriend a lift for her Vespas and Bonneville, but would like something I can use for my GS too, of course ...

Here's what I'm looking at:

Any remarks/recommendations?

i would consider the linked items jacks, as opposed to a lift. the usefulness of a jack depends quite a bit on the bike's frame, and does not lend itself to most scooters.

this is what i think of as a lift:

there are many versions, from many vendors. there have been a number of conversations on this topic, some fairly recent. search is your friend.

that said, a number of board members are satisfied with the budget unit sold by Hazard Fraught, oops, sorry Harbor Freight.

Check, tatort.

Thanks. And sorry to be redundant. I did search here, in tech, under "Motorcycle lift" and came up pretty dry.

(Hazard Fraught ... nyuck-nyuck... )

Yeah. def a difference - in form, performance, and price points. Lift certainly get's it up to a decent standing workman height.

Anyone actually use a jack on their GS?

Check Harbor Freight's website and sign up for their emails. They often discount their motorcycle lift to less than $300.00 I love mine. At that price point they are the price leader, and work just as well as any of the expensive lifts.
