I am planning on attending. I need a second, third, and possibly fourth opinion on my pivot bearing and its possible demise.

Hi All,

I plan to be there. Have a little work to do to get my R1150RT ready for sale in prep for the arrival of my R1200RT next week - hopefully.

Thanks in advance for your hospitality, Jim!

Best,

Robin

Jim, will likely be there & thanks for hosting. I plan to R&R the crankshaft on my R1200GS. Just kidding of course. I may come equipped to change the front brake pads and flush the brake fluid, especially if there are others who want to see how easy it is to do. PM coming for the address.

I would rather sink my teeth into a bagel than have a beagle stink his teeth into me. :D

Thanks again Jim!

Was a great day, nice to see some old friends and chit chat.

Lots of cool bikes, especially this one. I was "green" with envy.

A funny thing happened on the way back from Jim's tech day:

The exhaust tip that Shane, a few others and I worked so hard to free from three stuck bolts actually fell off on the highway. I looked when I got off the bike at home and sure enough if was gone. I thought I snugged them down hard enough, but apparently not.

Unless it happened to fall off in Jim's driveway, I guess it is gone for good. It's a yellow tip with three screw holes - let me know if you see it on the road!

I'll probably just rig something up to make it work because as I said at the tech day "screw it - it's a KLR!"

I bet a combination of three wide fender washers and bolts will do the trick.

Thanks for all the help, food, snacks, and laughs. Good to see some old friends.

Til next time,
Tim
