Ignition key hole question

Do the R1200GS bikes have a small door the covers the ignition key hole when you remove the key? Mine does not and I don't remember if it had one or not. Just noticed the other day when I removed the key that there is none.

Fascinating. I'd never noticed that before either, but my 2007 1200GS is without such a door on the ignition. Same for the vario cases and the seat lock. I always wondered if the door did more to impede evaporation than limit water intrusion, but who knows?

My Hepco & Becker top case has a cover over the slit for the key on the lock and I think that may be why I am thinking the bike is missing it so not sure it ever had one. I guess not. Thanks...

No flap here either. The ignition lock and the locks on the Vario cases are prone to freeze up. I carry de-icer during the colder months.
