It's the end of july with average daily highs just shy of 90 degrees--time to fix my heated grips on my K75. I saw a nice Youtube video on it so I'll bring some wire, solder and a soldering pencil. I was told be the previous owner they worked when he last rode the bike. That was in 1998.

I'll have to change my alternator belt. I'll also bring the club's GS911 and laptop to the tech day.

I plan on riding down for the fellowship, etc - no work to do this time. Taking the bike to George's shop on Monday for new brake lines, throttle cable and a few other 60K needs.

Will likely not be able to get there until around noon. :(

Thank you Bruce & Nicki for your hospitality! Nice to see you had a nice size turnout and that the day was so beautiful. I had a nice ride back to DC and was able to miss the scattered showers. Found a few twisty roads out near the beach (Franklin Gibson Rd & Queen Anne Bridge, etc). :-D

Thanks Nicki and Bruce for hosting and feeding us. Who knew a doughnut burger burger would taste so good?
Oh, and thanks for providing an alternator belt removal tool.

As it was our first tech day we didn't really know what to expect...next thing i know my bike was stripped down, the plug in thing we were looking for found and hooked up and then it was all put back together OMG! Too cool, thanks to everyone who made that happen. It was really nice to meet everyone see ya'll soon

The amount of people that showed up was the perfect amount for a tech day.
