That's very interesting. They're on Kickstarter raising money - I hope they make it!

While I too, hope they succeed, do we need such a device? Rear-end crashes have typically been the lowest statistical kind of multivehicle crash involving motorcycles (at least according to the Hurt Report, which at this point is probably simply no longer viable because of it's age.) I think forward facing lights--that are either modulated, or driving lights, or Skene's Photon Blasters--are much more important, and will have a much bigger impact on the safety of a rider.

I use a modulator. I can't remember the last time someone turned left in front of me at what I'd consider an unsafe distance. #-o I can however, remember the last time someone started to and stopped.

I wouldn't be without a modulated headlight. I consider it as important in it's safety aspect as ABS.

Exactly what I thought.

Traffic in California, where these guys are from, is actually worse than DC.

Besides, when was a motorcycle farkle about NEED?? :lol:
