Anyone running these or have an opinion on them?

I'm not an expert on this, but one of my customers riding an R 1200 RS tried them and they didn't work out too well, at least in terms of wear. We got a Michelin rep to check them out, and he agreed the wear was abnormal. My customer thinks he'll go back to the Road 4 until Michelin comes out (assuming they will) with a Road 5 GT, which would better handle the weight of the RS. He had been using Road 4 GTs on his RS, and really liked those.

Interesting. Looking at the marketing materials, it looks as if Michelin draws the 4/4GT line just below the RT, but experience seems to be favoring the GT for the slightly lighter sport touring mounts. This is reassuring to me on account of our having an SRR door prize (now on our refrigerator door) certificate from Morton's for a set of Road 4 GTs. They prolly won't work well on Debbie's F650GS Twin, but seem a reasonable choice in a few months when I need to re-shoe the S1000XR.

Thanks, Steve.

I spoke to the rep at the rally look for a winter timeframe for a release of the GT’s. Being greedy I too want a set
