For accessories, you need good gear and to wear it. All the Gear, All the Time (ATGATT). I wear a textile suit made of 500 denier Cordura nylon. Leather is too hot to wear in our summers.
Traffic Rules? Um, you have your license, right? I guess you mean strategies to manage risk in area traffic. If you have never taken a course that discusses how to search and evaluate risk while riding, there is a Street Rider Course by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation that does that. If you mean traffic rules like navigating the roads around here, remember that the EZ-Pass ExpressLanes are free for motorcycles. Moreover, you do not need to have an EZ-Pass on your bike in spite of what the sign says.
