Sat 8/4 Half day ride from POR

Postby BrianUSA1 » Fri Aug 03, 2018 6:30 pm

Weather looks decent tomorrow morning and I plan to take advantage of a good summer riding opportunity! :D

My plan is to head out from the Point of Rocks MARC lot at 0800 for a ride North exploring some of the route used by the Mid Atlantic BDR. Most Northern point will be the intersection with Rt 77, then will ride well known roads back South to POR to arrive by noon. If anyone is interested in joining me, just give a shout!

Great ride! Started out foggy, but ultimately cleared.

Nice back roads and easy gravel roads. Learned a few things about the Nav V along the way. 1)there are settings in the GPS that will mess with your Basecamp route - turning them off ahead of time would save you some grief and 2) downloaded Tracks have to be individually accessed from the Track list to make them visible on the map, adjust colors, etc.

Could easily ride this section two up.
