I left my helmet on the bike in my garage for 6 days earlier this month, and my daughter came in very excitedly a few days back to report that a bird was nipping in and out of the garage and had built him/herself quite a nest in said Schuberth C3. Having carefully evicted the nest from helmet, I am now left with a serious clean up of the pads etc. I have never laundered the padding before so a great opportunity presents itself.

I am therefore interested in hints/tips on how to accomplish this rather infrequent laundry day.....

When I clean mine, which is about every 3 months or so. I just grab my wifes woolite and hand wash it in the bathroom sink. And just hang it on the porch to air dry.

Thanks! All washed and nice smelling - now how the heck do they all go back in correctly!
