Small gripe - cold brake/clutch levers?

Postby relliott » Wed Nov 15, 2017 3:05 pm

So unless it's snowing I'm riding...I consider myself incredibly fortunate to be able to do what I love to do (ride) for an hour each day.

As the weather has gotten slightly colder (I rode last year at 8 degrees); I'm reminded at how the ONLY thing uncomfortable in the cold is the clutch/brake levers. Here in the DC commuter area; I ALWAYS cover my front brake and that's the ONLY thing that gets really cold enough to feel through the heated gloves. Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?

I have seen leather lever sleeves on some Harley cruisers. Should be a universal fit. Hopefully, they would not slide around much.

You would have to cut off the tassels  though.

I have used the leather covers on my GS's for years. You can also get silicone covers that are used for motocross - you can find the leather ones at biker shops and Moto show as well as the web.

These work well, and insulate better than leather.
