Hi,
This may surprise some of you but I have always liked the R1200C variants. Tomorrow I will pick up my first, a 2003 R1200CLC with 81K miles on it. It is physically a little rough, but runs well.
My plan is to make it mine by doing a HD thing. I am going to murder it out (I always hated that term, but it fits.) Black out everything. The chrome is too rough to salvage, and the polished parts are all pitted.
So my "Chromehead" is going to become a Blackhead.
Here is what I am starting with:
As always, I will update as I make progress.
