Election Q&A Thread

Postby Maria V » Mon Nov 21, 2016 11:37 am

Good morning!
To avoid my questions getting lost, posting here and hopefully this info will be helpful to others.

1) Who is on the elections committee?
2) Is the ballot being mailed to homes? Or do we simply print the ballot from the November BTS?
3) Please confirm deadline to postmark your ballot.

(This info may be elsewhere...but I couldn't find it.)

Thank you!

You can email your ballot or snail mail it in. I emailed mine. Remember to include your membership number if you email it
This is what I read in the BTS.
3 Ways to Send in Your Ballot:
SEND YOUR BALLOT IN BY MAIL
Address envelope to: BMWBMW 2017 Election 654 Bay Green Drive Arnold, MD 21012
SEND YOUR BALLOT IN BY EMAIL
Address: elections@bmwbmw.org Subject: 2017 Election
List your choices in the body and be sure to include your member number for validation of your status.
All club members and associates in good standing may participate in the election. Don’t forget to volunteer to serve on any of our committees with a Board member. Every committee chair and Board member would love to hear from you with a commitment of time and assistance.

1. Elections committee:

Gene Freund
Jerry Skene
Ed Pfister

2. Use the ballot in the BTS or email!

3. Due date: Bylaws say October 31, but since we're about a month behind, November 30 will do. That gives the committee time to review for presentation to BoD at next club meeting.

BTW, if you snail mail, it would be a good idea to include "c/o Gene Freund" in the address, but I'm hopeful the post office will deliver regardless. Maybe I'll stick "BMWBMW Elections" on my mailbox. :)
