Looking for women's summer weight pants

Postby rfk757 » Fri Jul 03, 2015 6:58 pm

I took my wife to Morton's BMW today to fit her for the Klim Mojave trousers such as I have. I was amazed to find out Klim only has one style of pants - ALTITUDE - for women versus several different options for men. These fit her well but are too hot.

She is a size 12, and liked the Altitude fit - especially where it is lower at the front. The Altitude is fine for winter but can anyone suggest a good summer weight pant for her?

Thanks!

You might want to see what Rev'It and Olympia have. BMW Motorrad has womens' gear as well.

Agreed! Rev-t, in particular, has a great selections of styles and sizes and is good quality!

Thanks - she looked at Olympia at Morton's and found the fit uncomfortable - I am not familiar with Rev-it, but am looking at their site. The Airwave appears to be the summer weight pant, so any particular stockist/dealer I should head for?

Happy 4th!

Battley's & Bob's definitely have Rev'it. Morton's probably does too. Not certain about Dulles Cycles. Probably best to call each dealership and ask what they have in the given size. Pretty sure all 4 will have something specific to women.

I am a big fan of First Gear and their women's gear line is pretty good. I've had two pairs of their overpants (one mesh, the other not) for years, as well as a couple of their jackets.

Several summers ago I acquired a pair of BMW airflow pants and they have become my go-to 3 season (all but winter) riding pants. Mine are a men's pair but they fit me really well (and a fellow member gave me an unbelievable deal on them.) So, depending on your wife's build, those might be an option as well.

Rev'it is carried by other-than-BMW dealers (sacrilege, i know, but...). visit their dealer finder page and see who's local to you; my nearest dealer is Modern Classics, on V St NE (shameless plug for my friends there).

as ERC Scott said, call first, regardless.
