Ok GS folks no reason not to ride in snow now...

So I have to ask, as a GS owner........ was there some reason not to ride in the snow before? :rider:

You asked! Yes one good reason not to ride in the snow is ice. You can not see it under the snow.

Sounds like you are a present day dual sport owner/rider which is cool. Been there done that. My only transportation for three winters in HS, one in MD and two winters in NJ was a 1971 Kawasaki Big Horn. So yes I have done my share of dual sport/ enduro riding in the snow and the wipe outs that go with it. Have owned a few other dual sport bikes also.

Have fun and remember what they say about yellow snow! :)

that's old hat, here's a Jawa 'Twingle" ((I Think), note the twin plugs, two pistons but they had only one combustion chamber) with them. they were held in the "up" position by a pair of big rubber bands..from Butler's Orchard Vintage gathering, 2005.

Fast Foward to about the 9 minute mark, that is where it gets good.

a set of those skis would have made it a bit less interesting. important technique demonstrated at about 11:00.


those potholes remind me of US1 in Hyattsville.
