The August 2008 BTS is not a significant source of fat cal, sat fat, trans fat, and iron.

Sheesh I sat on this for FIVE days!?! how could I be so lazy? Especially when there's so much packed inside, like an investigation into and reward for information leading up to the capture of the ZIPTIE BANDIT. Pile onto that a look into the SRR Scavenger hunt, a Ride To Eat invitation to all BMWBMW members, and a story of your humble webmaster getting a lesson in what his bike is and is not capable of. Plus more.

You know you've got a good BTS when you read "I was so grateful when the hail stopped within about 10 minutes. But then not so happy when the SNOW started a couple minutes later!"
I'll leave it to you to find out who wrote this in a continuing story about a 100 CCC from May's BTS.
But no - that's not all
Read about a different epic ride and a remembrance of JB Fields. Then read about our own treasurer gone wild, Elsie Smith, and her 2008 Spring Break trip in Nova Scotia! Totally UNEDITED!! All that and more!

The May 2008 BTS has arrived. Please take a moment to read about the life of JB Fields, one of our BMWBMW members who has passed away.
Also in the BTS: Have you ever done an Iron Butt 100 CCC? No? Don't have the guts? Our own VP Nancy Oswald has done it and writes about it. But maybe you don't care about that, maybe you're just jonesing for the full 2007 Mileage Contest results. Well then you'll be really happy to see page 5. All that and more.
In this months issue, read up on the continuing saga of Don Catterton's Iron Butt Rally adventure, more farkilization, and wait... more TESTS?? Yes! Our own ERC Scott has more motorcycle safety related questions for you to gnaw on. All that, and more.

Pictures of Nate Kern (N8!) at various events
Hey wake up! It's nearly March already! This months BTS contains intros from our new editor, Rick, as well as our government affairs liason, Steve Willis. You can also continue reading about how club member Henry Winokur exposes his bike to Farkilization.
Now I know what you're thinking right now, those articles sound great and all, but you really want to take a test! Can do, with this BTS, as Scott Keinig (ERC Scott for you forum folks) walks you through some what-if scenarios.
All that, and much more. Enjoy!

This months BTS is the 2008 election edition. The two candidates for President lay out the focus for their terms, should they be elected.
An Important note concerning the forums is also in this months BTS, page 4.
As a general reminder there is a BOD Meeting on October 7th 2007. This one should be well worth showing up and letting the board know how you weigh in on important details, and meeting the candidates for the 2008 term.
